Springfield holds first Children's Business Fair

This event represents a significant advance for the immigrant community.

Springfield, MA -. Dominican businessmen representing Harmony Entertainment Enterprise have been selected to coordinate the first Children's Business Fair in Springfield, Massachusetts. This innovative and pioneering initiative celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit of the city's children and young people.

This activity will be led by Josefina Arias Ventura de Dorvil, operations director of Harmony Entertainment Enterprise, and has the support of the Dominican Cultural and Sports Center.

Arias says the company has worked hard to establish relationships with various institutions, including the Latino Economic Development Corporation and the mental health care center Gandara Center, Inc.

In addition, it has received government support from Senator Adam Gómez.

The first Springfield Children's Business Fair will be held on August 24 at Plainfield Park from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will present 15 young entrepreneurs in a free event open to the public.

Last Saturday, the participants received training where they learned about sales strategies, workplace decoration, and customer-facing behavior.

For the fair, children will create a product or service, develop a brand, build a marketing strategy, and then open their businesses to customers in this one-day market, being responsible for setup, sales, and interaction with customers.

This event is sponsored by Acton Academy, Acton Next Great Adventure, and the generous support of donors and volunteers who believe that principled entrepreneurs are heroes and role models for the next generation.

“Today's young people are tomorrow's innovators and business leaders. The Kids Business Fair offers students the opportunity to spread their entrepreneurial wings and get a head start on promising business careers,” said Jeff Sandefer, founder of the Acton School of Business, one of the fair's sponsors.

Cash prizes of $50 will be awarded in each of the four age groups (6-7, 8-10, 11-12, and 13-14) for “Greatest Business Potential,” “Most Creative Idea,” and “Most Impressive Presentation.”
